Emily Ackerman is a sixth year PhD student in the University of Pittsburgh’s Chemical and Petroleum Engineering program. As a disabled, queer woman in STEM, she is passionate about the advancement of minorities in STEM fields. In her free time, she enjoys painting, organizing with her fellow grad workers, and spending time with her cat, Poppy.
