Brian is an openly queer and non-binary (any pronoun) postdoctoral research fellow at Genentech, a biotech company in South San Francisco, California. Brian has a passion for outreach and community building to help marginalized groups gain economic mobility through STEM. Brian is a fierce advocate for mental health after losing a close peer mentor that taught Brian how to be an out and proud queer scientist. Apart from this, Brian enjoys the nightlife (pre-Covid) of San Francisco and dancing with their kitty, Bougre (Boo-gruh).
